A parallel universe: Chapter two.

ramysharaf:

The sun was starting to make a move on the next day, shining out on the hospital where Daniel was staying. Robert was sitting with Stacy waiting for any updates. The family of the driver was there too, crying, walking back and forth to the room where Daniel was staying.

“He was drunk.” A…

A parallel universe: Chapter one.

Robert woke up late that day; he was not accustomed to waking up THAT early.

“Oh, hey there.” The professor looked astonished as the door was broken into.

“Sorry, I just …”

Late Night Thoughts

I never knew why am I here, what am I doing or where will I be. I was always lost, shattered, but the only thing I was sure of is that I was in the middle.. right into the middle..In the real world I was never friends with elites neither was I with losers, I was smart but not brilliant. For years I tried to convince myself that its a good thing, After all Im friends with everyone, Im average at everything..

Its never about intelligence, beauty or anything else humans use to feel superior over others. Its something else something special .. Ill convince you , for instance blonde hair, Colored eyes are ordinary features in Hollywood thats why someone like katherine Heigl isnt a star .. She’s ordinary. As a matter of fact, Its about our flaws thats why someone like julia roberts is a star .. trust me its the big mouth that does it all!

But then here comes the inevitable question, Will you be a jack of all trades or a master of a few? Sadly its never our choice, It was never my choice … I haven’t tried I know but I barely know how to decide. My skills of life covers basic survival…

The amazing thing about twitter as a platform and community is that it’s evolution has come through it’s use. Through use, people together evolve new ways of communicating. The #hashtag, the retweet, the @reply, follow friday, trending topics, real time twitter search, explaining twitter trends, cc-ing users, etc… These were all creations of the user base, people tried out ideas and built them. Twitter the company later adopted the conventions of it’s community and formalized the tools. This letting the community of users create, and then adopting the practices is critical to how Twitter’s grown to be such an amazing platform.

- Great post from Rabble on the history of the @ reply. (via brycedotvc)

Happy 160th Birthday Antoni Gaudi!

“La Sagrada Familia” by Antoni Gaudí - 130 years in construction.
When work began on the church, in 1882, the architects, the bricklayers and the labourers worked in a very traditional way. When Gaudí took over the direction he was aware that the works were complex and difficult and tried to take advantage of all the modern techniques available.Today, 130 years later, the building of the church follows Gaudí’s original idea and many architects have tried to follow his techniques to desig the 12 towers but only 8 are ready and it’s not close to be finished.

That’s why Barcelona is the city I’d live in if I had to get out of Brazil. Such a magic city!
